Five of us attacked the Pont Dafydd beat this evening (050718) with John and Rich on the brush cutters and me, Steve and James on the loppers. Between 6:30 and 9:00 pm we made a huge difference to access on the middle part of the beat. Still a little work to be done for another day. The cattle stayed in the top field and weren't interested in us at all.
We were just packing the gear into the van when Rich appeared "I've found a little stick that needs moving" - he'd only pulled a submerged tree trunk right across the river - half an hour later and a few chainsaw cuts later it was in pieces on the bank and another likely fish lie was cleared!
